I have my daemons, like most men -
Hateful, needy, seedy, spiteful things (they are) -
WANT! WANT! they scream, softly in my ear,
Insidious, cunning, toxic like the substances they push;
Sometimes I weaken, and I listen;
I devour the blood soaked flesh, greedily,
Even though I smelled the charring flesh, nauseating, or
Defile my airways and my blood with artificial hideaways -
For the peace from daily toil and worry these provide,
Release from self-constructed prisons for my mirth.
The same streets come into view (the same faces)
I tell myself this time I won't succumb, but I already know -
The hours I will waste, the excuses I will find tomorrow;
Chasing after friendship, love (that I will not want tomorrow).

Tearing me from the light;
I sit, silently, guilt-ridden and I cry.

We aren't perfect, and hopefully through cathartic poems like this, and reflection, we learn and improve over time, making the same old mistakes less and less.

I know the deamons of which you speak.. done so much reaserch since we got online last year.. also, they have been a big player in most peoples destinies.. since the dark ages they pretty much ruined all things.. talked of them openly since four/five years ago maby, when i realised what had been going on all those years.
So you okay then? always worry when people put so many dark impressions up, its very widespread (mind programming hasnt helped at all) You dont seem too worrying though lol, some real strange things are coming up in art on here though, i read people genrally in life (i like psycology/sociology), art and profiles like these are a good window into the soul.
